About Skills Upgrading Centre
Since 1984, Skills Upgrading Centre, Literacy Council York-Simcoe has been providing free customized skills upgrading programs for adults. We are a registered non-profit charitable organization supported by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development, United Way Greater Toronto, The Peter Gzowski Foundation for Literacy and local charitable gaming. We are active in fundraising activities and also gratefully accept donations from corporations, foundations and individuals.
We collaborate with local community and employment services to ensure that our students gain the skills necessary for a successful future.
