Literacy Upgrading Programs

One-on-one Tutorials
Literacy students are matched with trained volunteer tutors who assist the students in meeting their literacy goals through a variety of individualized learning strategies.

Small Group Instruction
Literacy students come together in small groups of 6-8 to upgrade their skills for independence, higher education and employment. Groups are facilitated by volunteers and staff and are held at various times of day for convenience.

Computer-based Literacy Skills Upgrading
Literacy students can upgrade their literacy and computer skills through an interactive educational program that provides a variety of curriculum-based activities and tests to enhance literacy skills.

Employment Readiness Training

Basic Computer Training
Community members can access up-to-date computer training in basic computer operation, internet, email and MS office applications for a small fee.

Ready for Work
Literacy students and community members can improve essential skills and enhance their employability through this comprehensive, computer-based employment skills training program.
